Chris Hadfield Helps Launch NFB Space School

Astronaut Chris Hadfield spoke with 150 students from grade 6 to 9 gathered at the Discovery Centre in Halifax today to celebrate the launch of the National Film Board (NFB) Space School.


The National Film Board (NFB) Space School is a new website that teaches young people about space, science, technology and leadership by giving them a front-row seat to Hadfield’s mission.
In attendance at the Halifax Discovery Centre were Ramona Jennex, Minister of Education and Early Childhood Development of Nova Scotia, Ravida Din, Director General, English Program, National Film Board of Canada, Paul McNeill, Producer, Atlantic Centre, National Film Board of Canada and Jeremy Hansen, CSA Astronaut.
The NFB Space School web site contains Leadership and Hadfield Mission modules with History, Robotics, Astrobiology and Environment modules slated for future release.
