Fifteen years in the making. That was a comment repeated several times by Elon Musk during a presser, or press conference, shortly after SpaceX had done what no one had done before, reusing a first stage booster of an orbital rocket that had been previously safely returned from another mission.

Musk spoke to gathered media at the NASA Cape Canaveral media center on March 30, 2017 shortly after the successful launch of the SES-10 satellite. Musk was extremely happy, participated in a lengthy Q&A, and was quite forthcoming with information related to this success along with providing, or confirming information about future missions, technology and some of SpaceX’s plans.
